Explore relationships, track backlinks, and visualize your vault in the force-directed Knowledge Graph.

Creating WikiLinks

• Type [[Note Name]] inside the markdown editor.
• This creates an instant link to that note. If the note does not exist, clicking the link will create it automatically.

Checking Backlinks

• Open the note you want to inspect.
• The Backlinks footer displays all other notes that reference the current note.

Using the Knowledge Graph

1. Navigate to the Graph page from the side navigation.

2. For workspaces with more than 150 notes, the Graph starts with Folder clusters. Smaller workspaces start in Notes. Use the view selector to switch between Notes, Folder clusters, and Topic clusters at any time.

3. Search note titles or paths across the workspace. Open Filters to choose a vault, tag, or the number of notes or groups per view.

4. Hover over a node to see its title and highlight its visible links. Select a node, or use the note picker, then choose Show connections to explore its immediate neighbors. Back to overview returns to the wider graph.

5. Choose Open note to open the selected note in the editor.

6. Drag to pan, scroll or use the zoom buttons to zoom, and choose Fit view to bring the displayed notes back into view.

The count above the graph shows how many notes and connections are displayed. Dense views limit connections and show only labels that fit without overlapping. Search and paging keep the remaining notes available; they are not removed from your vault. For a clearer view, choose 75 notes or explore one note's connections.

Use Analyze relationships to find additional relationships from locally indexed sources. After analysis, choose a relationship class or inspect a relationship's evidence. Solid lines represent explicit links, dashed lines represent semantic relationships, and dotted lines represent other derived relationships.

Exploring folder and topic clusters

Folder clusters group notes by their full parent folder path. Folders in different vaults stay separate, and subfolders keep their own groups. The number on a circle is its matching note count. Lines combine note links between folders; stronger lines represent more links.

Topic clusters use your existing tags. A note can appear in every topic it is tagged with, and notes without tags appear in Untagged notes. Lines between topics show shared notes. Topics are not inferred from note bodies, and viewing clusters does not change your notes or tags. The matching-note total counts each note once even when it belongs to multiple topics.

Select a group on the graph or with the group picker, then choose Explore folder or Explore topic. The group opens into the existing bounded note view, with search, paging, note opening, and connection exploration. Choose Back to clusters to return to the group overview.

Cluster overviews show up to 24 groups at a time, ordered by note count. Filters offers 12, 24, or 40 groups per view; Previous and Next make every remaining group reachable. Search matches note titles and paths as well as group names. A topic-name search such as #research can open that topic's notes directly.
